Are you struggling with social anxiety and looking for an effective treatment? DC CBT’s Building Social Confidence group offers evidence-based group therapy for social anxiety in the heart of Washington DC, near Dupont Circle Metro.
This specialized CBT group therapy helps adults overcome social fears, build confidence, and develop meaningful connections in a safe, supportive environment.
We are continuing to accept new members for DC CBT’s social anxiety group therapy! Group sessions are held in-person at our Dupont Circle office.
What to Expect in Our CBT Group Therapy Sessions:
Our social anxiety group therapy uses evidence-based CBT techniques:
- Learn cognitive skills to reframe anxious thoughts.
- Develop a plan to confront anxiety-provoking situations.
- Practice social interactions during group time.
- Conduct out-of-session practice between meetings.
How to Join Our Washington DC Social Anxiety Group
Potential group members will first have a short, no-cost consultation call by phone or video with Dr. Noguchi. We will discuss what interests you about group, as well as what expectations and goals you have for group therapy. We will ask some questions to get to know you better and provide more information about the group.
Toward the end of the consultation call, we will discuss if the BSC group might be an appropriate fit for you and if so, schedule a 45-minute screening session ($100). This session is common practice to address a range of matters including your social anxiety concerns, group therapy expectations, and any remaining questions.
Don’t worry if this sounds complex, we will guide you through the process.
Social Anxiety Group Details and Schedule:
- Mixed gender group, individuals 18+
- When: Tuesday evenings, 7:00-8:30 pm*
- Location: In-person, Dupont Circle office
- Duration: 12 weeks, each session 90 mins
- Cost: $100 screening session for prospective members, $100/group session
*We understand that this might be a late start time. As such, we are looking to see if it is possible to start group slightly earlier or shift to another day if that works well with group members.
